Good
day everyone!
First of all, I would express my warmest welcome to all
of you for visiting my website. Let
me share my profile with all of you.
I
was born in Malaysia. Since young, I have a keen interest
in our Mother Nature. I’ve won several prizes
from the Eco-friendly Competition.
The
scale at which human activity alters the natural environment
has increased dramatically in the last three centuries.
The Scientific Revolution that began in the 1700s was
more than just an Industrial Revolution: it transformed
medicine, agriculture, settlement, and sanitation. Taken
together these changes enabled people to live longer
and wealthier lives. As a consequence total population
and per capita resource use began to grow exponentially,
though not at the same rate everywhere. Total material
flow from the resource base, through the human economy
and back into the environment as waste, has multiplied
many times over and is threatening the environmental
systems upon which life on Earth depends.
The
environmental systems have experienced great changes
since the several decades ago. Changes that affect all
of us are such as forest exploitation, water pollution,
air pollution, land scarcity, fuel reduction and so
on. These changes are what we called as the global
warming that’s affecting all of us
nowadays!
Carbon
emission has been increased; scarcity of forest has
lead to an imbalance in our environment. More carbon
dioxide is being emitted while capability of the forest
to re-absorb these gases is getting poorer. Moreover,
our climate has experienced some changes thus bring
to unpredictable natural disasters such as storms and
floods that occurred in US, China and so on.
We
should be more aware of what is happening to our Earth.
We should learn the lesson from what is being documented
in the “An Inconvenient Truth”. In this
film, it educates the public about the severity of climate
crisis. It warns us against the severity of global warming
In fact global warming is real, potentially
catastrophic and human-based.
Do you still remember the one month blackout incident happened in Canada in year 2000! This incident brought a big shock to the world, not because it happened in the world sixth richest country, but it was the following activities that brought up awareness of the society.
During the blackout, all Canadians carried out 3 requirements in their "Flex Your Powers" plan, that is - Switch Off The Light When Not Used, adjust and fix our air-cond at 25 degree celsius, and use the higher power usage electrical appliances only at off-peak hours. After a year, they saw a positive result on this matter. The demand of power usage had been reduced unexpectedly! Even though hundred millions had been spending in promoting the awareness, it was certainly worth for what they had saved in the coming electricity expenses was much higher.
This has proved that individual attitudes can help to save the world's resources, if everybody practices this good habit, only mankind will benefit but also mother earth. In conclusion, everyone in the world MUST cooperate to save the world!
We
should realize that all of us have a role to play in
saving our Earth. It is my greatest pleasure to present
these carbonless stickers in order to reduce the carbon
emission to the Earth. Let us help the Earth by doing
this little cause- that is to stick these stickers to
our environment, share our knowledge with the people
around us and educate our children to have a better
tomorrow!
Remember,
our actions will affect what the future holds!
Thank
you!
